Asian Legal Business India Law Awards, 2022
We are pleased to announce that Saraf and Partners has won the ‘Debt Market Deal of the Year (Premium)’ Award at the coveted, Asian Legal Business India Law Awards, 2022 held on June 10th.
This award was for ‘Adani Electricity GMTN Programme’ where the Firm acted as Indian Legal counsel for Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited. The team was led by Partners, Satadru Goswami and Murtaza Zoomkawala, and assisted by Pallavi Singhal and Rainika Malhotra.
It is indeed a landmark transaction, being a first of its kind in many aspects:
• First to issue Sustainability Linked Bond in energy sector in India and
• Largest order-book oversubscription for a 10-year ESG bond issuance in Asia (excluding-Japan).
The Award was received in person by Partners, Satadru Goswami and Abir Lal Dey.
